More than anything, this is becoming a war on free speech, one in which the global commons are being tightly controlled by our tech overlords. When sites like Parler & Kiwi Farms are shutdown, when the standing president is thrown off Twitter, this isn't some left wing victory over the right, it's the the living proof of an authoritarian oligarchy in action. It should put fear into the heart of any citizen that wishes to speak freely. Great article! Thanks for writing!

I agree with this. I've been to KF and it was mostly just people shitposting, from what I could see. Some of it was funny and some of it was interesting because people were pretty brutally honest. But I stayed away from the threads dedicated to individual people coz that's out of line, IMO. I can fully understand how distressing it would be to be made a permanent , ongoing spectacle. I wouldn't have worried about it much if the activists would have merely forced KW to shut those threads down. Instead, they killed a community and convinced themselves it was a good thing because they were degenerates. It's that ability of people to just fully deceive themselves and vilify others that I find scary about humans. I have less faith in humans than I've ever had., Anyway, it was clear to me that all the explanations for shutting them down were based on obvious lies, just like *everything* about this ideology turns out to be lies in the end. I am at the point now where I'm so turned off by it I'm going to start actively avoiding any businesses/corporations that support it..

The threads on individuals were carefully curated. They allowed many of us to see what was really going on. KF was the only place that allowed the truth of their own words to be shown. It did not need to censor or ban because it was made up of information the topics of the threads posted themselves. The posters there did more work than the police did. I am forever crateful to kiwifarms for giving women a voice when we were all mass banned from Reddit. There really was a wealth of knowledge there. I hope it’s been archived.

I think the avoidance of all these businesses and corporations that support gender ideology is the best option. Great advice. For a marginalized and vulnerable group they sure do have a lot of power.

It has been archived. There’s a total of 7TB+ worth of data collected for over a decade. Josh mentioned on his podcast that he prefers operating the site openly on the clearnet, as he feels that people shouldn’t have to go on hoops just to access the site. And if worse comes to worst, he would rather take down the site altogether and distribute the archive so people can host it online themselves. Currently it’s only (kind of) accessible via tor, a move which he isn’t really fond of, but there isn’t any other choice at the moment while he is trying to fix the site’s issues.
